Hafeez reaches another milestone during clash with Kiwis
Pakistan veteran batsman Mohammad Hafeez starred with the bat in the second One Day International (ODI) against the New Zealand on Tuesday.
The middle order batsman scored 60 of 71 deliveries, including eight boundaries. In doing so, Hafeez reached another milestone in limited overs cricket after he became only the 10th Pakistani cricketer to reach the milestone of 6,000 runs in ODIs.
Earlier, legendary batsmen including Inzamam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Yousuf, Saeed Anwar, Shahid Afridi, Javed Miandad, Younis Khan, Saleem Malik, Shoaib Malik and Ijaz Ahmed have achieved this milestone.
Pakistan reached 246 for nine batting first against New Zealand on the back of late charge fifties by Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan in Nelson.
Congrats to the one and only 'professor' @MHafeez22 on becoming the 10th batsman from 🇵🇰 to complete 6000 runs in ODI cricket 🙌🏽
Excellent innings by him so far 🏏 #PakvsNZ
