Apple’s co-founder Steve Jobs’ first job application was previously set up for auction, which has now been sold for $174,757.

Steve Jobs’ first ever job application that he filled out in 1973, three years before finding Apple, was up for auction at RR Auction. The application was initially estimated to be worth over $50,000 and now, has finally been sold for a hefty amount of $174,757, almost three times that of original price set, and market itself as the highest selling Steve Jobs-related item sold by the auction.

As per CNET, the winning bidder of the application was an anonymous internet entrepreneur from London. The people bidding for the application comprised of successful internet company owners and entrepreneurs. The executive vice president at RR Auction, Bobby Livingstone said, “The document to them resonates emotionally about who Steve Jobs was. Here he was with nothing, and now he’s one of the most important people in the 20th century.”

The hand-written application filled out by Jobs included his special abilities that he wrote as ‘electronics tech or design engineer’ and wrote ‘digital’ as his interests, and ‘computer’ and ‘calculator’ as his skills. He also mentioned his previous experience at Hewlett-Packard as well.

PCMag reported, the auction that carried out from March 8 to March 15 contained other Apple-related products as well including Mac OS X technical manual signed ‘All the best, Steve Jobs’ by Jobs back in 2001, which sold for $41,806 and also a signed newspaper clipping from 2008 about Jobs introducing the iPhone 3G that sold for $26,950 – both items exceeded their estimated values.
