Farhan Akhtar deletes his Facebook days after data breach fiasco
Farhan Akhtar has removed his personal account on the social networking site Facebook earlier today without disclosing the reason behind his abrupt decision.
The 'Rock On' star took to Twitter and announced the big news.
Good morning. This is to inform you all that I have permanently deleted my personal Facebook account.
However, the verified FarhanAkhtarLive page is still active.

Although the 44-year-old actor has not revealed the reason behind quitting the platform, his move comes right after the social network was in hot waters for data breach, speculating that Akhtar was in support of the #deletefacebook hashtag.
However, the actor has kept his verified page active in hopes of not losing touch with his global fans.
Akhtar who stays active through social media has about 11 million followers on Twitter and more than a million on Instagram. Following Akhtar’s decision to delete his Facebook account, people are now wondering which Bollywood actor would be next in line.Facebook’s CEO has apologized for the breach of trust.
On the work front, Farhan Akhtar is reportedly working on the script for 'Don 3' after successfully directing the first two parts of the 'Don' series.
