After two weeks of hot and sweltering weather, Karachi breathed a sigh of relief as some parts of the city received drizzle on Friday morning.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, the weather for the next three days will be slightly pleasant as the minimum temperature will be at 34°C. The maximum temperature will reach 39°C.

The PMD has also predicted that Karachi may experience light rain during the last days of Ramazan. However, north Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will receive more than the average rainfall, local media reported.

The past month saw an extremely hot and dry spell in Karachi with heatwave hitting the city twice. The heatwave in the port city during Ramazan took the lives of 65 people, according to reports by Edhi.
