Maryam Nawaz owns assets worth Rs 845 million, reveals ECP
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz possess more than 1,500 kanals of land and owns assets worth Rs 845 million, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), revealed on Wednesday.
According to the information shared by the ECP, last year in June, Maryam had a total net asset of Rs 845,953,559, which increased by Rs 44,154,464 in the previous financial year alone.Furthermore, Maryam has stated in her election nomination papers that she had millions of rupees invested in several companies at the start of this financial year, local media reported.
Maryam submitted her nomination papers which were accepted from Lahore constituencies NA-125, NA-127 and PP-173. The NA-125 is the same constituency from which her father won. The general elections are slated for July 25.
Meanwhile, corruption case against Maryam is being heard in an accountability court. Maryam is visiting her ailing mother in London whose condition deteriorated on the weekend. Maryam has been accused in the Avenfield property reference by the National Accountability Bureau following the Panama Papers verdict.
