Nora Fatehi aces in recreating Sushmita Sen’s iconic ‘Dilbar’ song
Seems like Bollywood's obsession for remaking old hit tracks is not ending anytime soon, as this time it is Sushmita Sens’ iconic song ‘Dilbar Dilbar’ from 1999 film ‘Sirf Tum’ that has joined the list of songs that have been recreated.
The recreated version of the hit song sees Nora Fatehi grooving to a remix of the original beats of the song. The remake is a perfect modernized version of the song, which featured Sushmita and Sanjay Kapoor. Nora’s exemplary belly dance certainly steals the show.
Reportedly, Nikhil Advani, who is the producer of Satyameva Jayate, wanted Nora to choreograph her own belly dance moves as the model-actress is well-versed with the dance form. She has taken inspiration for her clothes and moves in the video from internationally renowned Turkish belly dancer, Didem.
The original song created a storm back when it was released, mainly due to Sushmita's sensuous dance moves and expressions. Although Sushmita's song was an instant hit back then for all the right reasons, the remake too seems to have more or less done justice to the original track.
Before this song, Madhuri Dixit's hit number 'Ek Do Teen' song was recreated. The new version, however, faced severe criticism from the audience. Actress Jacqueline Fernandez stepped in Madhuri's shoes to recreate the iconic number for the movie 'Baaghi 2', however, the fans were unimpressed with the music and the dance in the new version.
The movie starring John Abraham in the lead role will hit theaters on August 15.
