Elon Musk, the CEO and founder of SpaceX, has announced that he is building a ‘kid sized submarine’ to rescue the soccer team that has been trapped in a cave in Thailand.

Announcing about his plans on social media site Twitter, he has posted many videos showing the ‘kid sized submarine’ being tested under deep swimming pools in Los Angeles. It’s a small vessel like submarine that can carry an individual beneath the water. The person would be completely dry after coming out from the submarine. He used Palisades Charter High School’s pool in LA to test his submarine.

“Primary path is basically a tiny, kid-size submarine using the liquid oxygen transfer tube of Falcon rocket as hull. Light enough to be carried by 2 divers, small enough to get through narrow gaps. Extremely robust,” Tesla CEO tweeted.

According to Business Insider, SpaceX and Boring Company’s engineers are working on this project and assisting the Thailand government’s rescue mission to save the 12 boys and their coach from the Thai cave as soon as possible.

Soon after four boys were rescued from the cave, Musk shared the idea of his new invention on Twitter. While describing about his ‘kid sized submarine’ he said, “It’s light enough to be carried by two divers, small enough to get through narrow gaps," Musk posted on Twitter.

The 25-year-old soccer team coach and boys, in the age group of 11 to 16 years, went to explore a cave about two weeks ago where they got trapped due to monsoon flooding and the rescuers were unable to find them.
