Back in 1944, ICI Pakistan Limited was a small trading company, setting up shop in Khewra for their first manufacturing site – built for the production of Soda Ash. When Pakistan became an independent state in 1947, economic instability rocked the foundations of many businesses, but within the walls of ICI Pakistan Limited, hope had a home.

Within seven decades, the company has evolved to set higher standards for itself and Cultivate Growth in a way that goes beyond plain business. With four different Businesses that cater to a major portion of the national industrial demand, the Company runs sustainable operations in numerous business sectors, namely: Soda Ash, Polyester, Chemicals & Agri Sciences, and Life Sciences.

While business remains in good hands, the company also has an immaculate Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, and does social work which positively impacts our local communities in life-changing ways; they’ve contributed to education in Lyari, and TibbiHariya; they’ve built and improved numerous medical facilities across the country; they’ve laid the groundwork for a hustling bustling community in Khewra, which stands to this day; they’ve worked to promote gender inclusivity in the corporate sector; they’ve created thousands of jobs and enabled many with opportunities that empower and motivate; and they’ve set the a high standard for companies that actually want to make a difference.

The company produces products that are used in the manufacturing of soaps and detergents, works with domestic industries to improve the quality of livestock farming for better produce, manufactures infant formula in affiliation with international brands, is the pioneer of polyester fibre manufacturing in Pakistan, which is used in cars, bedding, clothes and more, and is also contributing to various other sectors such as the skincare industry with their brand - Repavar.
