Pak-Turkey to augment the defense industry capabilities
ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Turkey to Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul on Wednesday called on Federal Minister for Defence Production Ms. Zobaida Jalal at Ministry of Defence Production, Rawalpindi.
The Ambassador congratulated the Federal Minister on assumption of the new responsibilities and said that Pakistan and Turkey have exemplary relations, said a press release.
The Minister welcomed the Ambassador and said that the historical and cultural ties between the two countries are part of the bilateral relations.
The Ambassador conveyed the message of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and lauded the statement of Prime Minister of Pakistan in the wake of economic crisis in Turkey.
He said that the statement of Prime Minister Imran khan is being taken very positively in Turkey.
The Minister appreciated the extent of the defence and industrial cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey and expressed Pakistan's strong desire to deepen, broaden and strengthen its partnership with Turkey in all fields including defence cooperation.
Referring to the cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey, the Minister also invited Turkey to extend the Pak-Turk Cooperation in China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The Minister said that the present government is emphasizing on governance in Balochistan and reforms will be visible in social sector in the province.
She said, apart from defence cooperation, Pakistan seeks to establish levels of cooperation in social sectors and education.
