KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam has directed all the Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) to ensure implementation of extra-ordinary security arrangements made under the contingency plan for the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.).
The IGP, in a statement here on Sunday, also advised to coordinate with Rangers and other law enforcement institutions to ensure security for life and property at Majalis and mourning processions.
He instructed that random snap checking should be ensured on a daily basis at police stations level across the province, especially Karachi.
He also called for ensuring coordination among police stations for a prompt action against criminals.
