Google Doodle celebrates Halloween with first ever multiplayer game
Google is celebrating Halloween by rolling out a new Doodle game, which is its first ever multiplayer game.
Just like it celebrates every major event by changing its Doodle, Google is in full spirit of celebrating Halloween by introducing a new multiplayer game that lets players can compete with each other online.
The game is named ‘Trick-or-Treat: The Great Ghoul Duel’ includes two teams: Green and Purple. The user plays as a cute little ghost and both the teams have to pick up as many ‘spirit flames’ and bring them back to the base for points within two minutes, explained The Verge.
The spirits trail behind the player ghost and when the other team touches the opposite team’s trail, they will steal the spirits. Along with point scoring, the spirits will also provide with boosts such as speed boosts, night vision or ability to walk through the walls.
“In a Doodle first, players can choose to host a game with up to seven friends and family via a custom invitation link OR just play with randomized players around the globe,” explained Google’s blog post.
Moreover, according to 9to5Google, the game is powered by Google Cloud and can be played on both mobile and desktop.
