LAHORE: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that Qazi Husain Ahmed had been a great national leader, a champion of the unity of the Muslim Ummah and a courageous political and religious leader.

In a message on the death anniversary of the former JI chief Qazi Husain Ahmed, he said that hard work was the life mission of Qazi Sahib who had devoted his entire live for the establishment of the supremacy of Deen.

Commenting on the present political scene, Liaqat Baloch said that the religious, political and democratic forces today stood divided and they did not even realize the gravity of the situation. He said the parliament was a hostage in the hands of non-serious political actors.

In such a situation, he said, all democratic and political forces should join hands to ensure national security and solidarity, to solve the people’s problems and to face the challenges from the enemy.

He said that the corrupt mafia, and the unconstitutional steps and the undemocratic behavior of the rulers and the politicians had done irreparable harm to the country and the nation. He urged the sane and honest leaders in all parties to become active for steering the country out of the present crisis.

Meanwhile, youth delegates from Sindh and Balochistan called on the JI Secretary General at Mansoora and apprised him of their problems. The JI leader observed that unemployment, bribery, Safarish and disregard to merit had worsened the situation for the youth all over the country.
