ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr Fehmida Mirza Friday said on Friday that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is an independent institution and National Assembly has nothing to do with its actions and functioning.
Talking to PTV News, she said that there was a need to eliminate double standards from Pakistan’s political system.
She emphasized that everyone should play their role positively.
She said that media also avoid double role in every incidents. “When journalists were beaten in front of DSP, when Sindh Government attacked my house as I had no position at that time there was a need to scrutinize those masked culprits, she added.
Replying to a question she said that as she was not a representative of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) so she would not comment on the arrest of speaker Agha Siraj Durrani adding first to look on the law if the law permits to NAB then it depends on the concerned department.
