Shah Mahmood Qureshi heads off to Saudi Arabia to attend OIC meeting
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi left for Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to attend meeting of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of foreign ministers.
Speaking to the media before his departure to Saudi Arabia, FM Qureshi said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will also participate in the summit. The foreign minister further said that the agenda of OIC leader’s session will be finalised in the meeting, local media reported.
Qureshi further said that during the OIC, situation of Middle East and the rising tensions in Iran will come under discussion. The foreign minister added that the session of Kashmir Contact Group is also expected in which the participants will share their view points.
He added that he will hold meetings with other foreign ministers attending the OIC and will also meet the OIC secretary-general. The OIC will be attended by leaders and heads of states of 57 countries.
