First British Airways flight lands in Pakistan after 10 years
A flight of British Airways made its first landing in Pakistan on Monday morning at the Islamabad airport after a gap of 10 years.
The first flight BA-261 arrived at the Islamabad International Airport from Heathrow, London with 240 passengers on board. The flight had taken off from London Heathrow on Sunday. The same aircraft will depart for Heathrow at 11:10 a.m. with passengers from Islamabad.
British High Commissioner to Pakistan Thomas Drew posted on Twitter and wrote that it was 'a big day for the UK and Pakistan'. He also posted a short video clip of a screen announcing the flight at Heathrow Airport which displayed the hashtag 'BAck to Islamabad'.

On December 18, British Airways announced its return to Pakistan after suspending its operations for 10 years. As per details, British Airways will fly thrice a week between Heathrow and Islamabad.
The Birtish Airways suspended its flights in 2008 after a terrorist attack on the Marriot hotel in Islamabad.
