BUCHAREST: Romanian debt managers sold a more than planned 1.31 billion lei ($309.01 million) worth of Feb. 2029, treasury bonds on Monday, with the average accepted yield at 4.76pc, central bank data showed.
The finance ministry, which had planned to sell 500 million lei, last tendered the paper in April at an average yield of 4.98pc.
Also on Monday, it rejected all bids at a tender for six-month treasury bills.
So far this year, Romania has sold about 18.9 billion lei and 506.7 million euros on the local market. It also tapped foreign markets in March for 3 billion euros worth of 2026, 2034, and 2049, Eurobonds.
