Policeman martyred trying to stop suicide bombers from attacking Police Lines area in Loralai

A policeman was martyred and four others were injured while foiling an attack in the Police Lines area in Balochistan’s Loralai on Wednesday.

The attack took place while policemen were taking an examination. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), three attackers wearing suicide jackets ambushed the main gate of the Police Lines area.

However, after timely retaliation by the police and other law-enforcement agencies, the bombers were killed. During the exchange of fire, one suicide bomber exploded himself, while others were killed by security forces.

Head Constable Allah Nawaz was martyred in the exchange of fire, the ISPR statement added. The injured have been identified as Bibi Fatima, Sajjad Ahmed, Muhammad Idris and Muhammad Alam.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal condemned the attack and has expressed condolences over the death of the policeman, local media reported.
