Mawra defends her statement ‘fast food causes depression’ after being mocked
Urwa and Mawra Hocane have became the butt of joke of Twitter after they spoke about the serious issue of mental health on a talk show and linked food to the reason behind depression.
Since then, the Hocane sisters have been heavily trolled on social media for saying that the ‘only’ cause of depression is wrong intake of food. Mawra has tried to justify her statement after people start mocking her and Urwa on social media.
In a video clip on social media, the sisters can be seen speaking about how one’s mental health is affected by ‘what food people put inside their system’. “We hear so many people say that they are suffering from depression, they have mental disease, it’s all because of food. There’s no other reason,” they said.
After both actresses were criticised heavily for their irresponsible statement, Mawra tried explaining her point again by posting a Google screenshot. “If you eat lots of processed meat, fried food, refined cereals, candies, pastries, and high fats products, you are most likely to be anxious and depressed,” the post reads.
Fans have been making fun of two actresses and asking them to refrain from commenting on such serious topics.
