Indian singer/actor Diljit Dosanjh has landed himself in controversy for accepting event invite by US-based Pakistani national Rehan Siddiqi. However, as soon as he came to know about sensitivity of the event, he has postponed his concert for indefinite time.

Indian film body Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has asked him to cancel his upcoming show in the US, which is reportedly organised by Rehan Siddiqi.

The FWICE, in a letter, stated that his performance on invitation of a Pakistani will set a wrong precedent in view of the current alarming situation between the two countries. The body also wrote to Ministry of External Affairs of India to ‘cancel the visa of singer and actor’.

Responding to all the criticisms, Diljit wrote on Twitter that he was not aware of the letter until now. He added that his dealing regarding the show in Houston was with an entertainment network and not with the Pakistani national, as alleged in the FWICE letter. He further claimed that he will postpone his show for now in the US which has been scheduled to take place on September 21.
