Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Saturday congratulated Pakistani boxer Muhammad Waseem on winning the world ranking fight.

He said that Waseem displayed outstanding performance in the ring and defeated his opponent. "He once again proved that he is professional and talented boxer and through hard work and professionalism he brought laurels to Pakistan," he added.

Meanwhile, on the fourth death anniversary of martyred lady pilot Maryam Mukhtiar, the CM said that patriotism, bravery, courage and determination of Maryam Mukhtiar is an example for the nation. "High spirit Maryam was God gifted. Every Pakistani is proud of her; she is a brave daughter of the soil and will remain alive in our hearts. Daughters of this nation, like martyred Maryam Makhtiar, are an asset and ray of hope for the nation," he added.
