Fauji Foundation, KEPCO KPS sign MoU
Fauji Foundation (FF) and KEPCO Plant Service & Engineering Co Ltd (KEPCO KPS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which will enable parties to provide O&M services as third party contractor in Pakistan and abroad.
The MoU is a gateway to the joint ventures between FF and KPS in Operational and Management (O&M) Services and related technical business. The singing of ceremony will also help to identify other business like technical services and establishment of a repair and maintenance workshop.
The MoU was signed by Brig Wajahat Nazir, SI (M) (Retd), Secretary Corporate FF and Bum Nyun Kim, President and CEO KEPCO KPS and ceremony was held at the Fauji Foundation headquarters, said an announcement issued by the FF here on Tuesday.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Ambassador of South Korea H.E Kwak Sung-Kyu, Managing Director Fauji Foundation Lt Gen Syed Tariq Nadeem Gilani, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (M) (Retd) and Maj Gen Asghar Nawaz, HI (M) (Retd), Chief Executive, Foundation Power Company Daharki Limited (FPCDL).
Foundation Power Company Daharki Limited (FPCDL) is producing 180MW Gas Based Power Plant at Daharki, Sindh, Pakistan since April 2004. FPCDL has already availing O&M services from KEPCO KPS South Korea since October 2007.
KEPCO KPS is a public corporation providing a total plant solution, including plant facility diagnosis and performance improvement, industrial facilities, and power transmission and substations O&M in South Korea and abroad.
Expressing gratitude on the occasion, Managing Director Fauji Foundation stated that the signing of MoU will strength the working relationship by and between the FF Group and KPS in the field of energy sector and will help in boosting bilateral relations between Pakistan and South Korea.
