NCC considers closing Sindh border with other provinces

(Karachi) In wake of increasing number of coronavirus cases and the emergency situation in the country, the National Coordination Committee (NCC) is considering to seal Sindh border with other provinces. However, no decision to this effect has been made so far.
The NCC meeting was held in Islamabad on Monday which was chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan. The committee decided that airports in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad will remain open for flight operations.
During the meeting Khan directed the authorities to complete all precautionary measures to deal with the coronavirus outbreak.
He said the steps taken by the provincial governments regarding the situation are satisfactory. He added it is time when everyone needs to take responsibility and play role to fight against the deadly outbreak.
The PM said that some elements are spreading rumours related to the disease and creating panic among the public. He instructed the officials to take action against such elements.
The prime minister ordered the officials to ensure availability of commodities to the people. Imran said that Health Minister Zafar Mirza will inform the nation on coronavirus situation every day.
