Some areas of Lahore to be put under complete lockdown for two weeks: Yasmin Rashid
- Minister said lockdown will be imposed from midnight.
Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid announced that several areas of Lahore will be put under complete lockdown for 15 days as cases in the province rose to 54,138 on Monday.
In a presser, the minister said areas that will be under complete lockdown include Harbans Pura, Nishtar Town, Allama Iqbal Town, Shahdra, Shad Bagh and others.
Rashid continued that nearly 300 cases have been recorded in these areas. She said lockdown will be imposed from midnight.
She further said said pharmacies, any factories that are making protective equipment, dairy shops will remain open in these areas. "We will observe the results after two weeks," Rashid said.
