CHICAGO: Chicago Board of Trade soyabean futures rose on Wednesday following comments from the US Trade Representative that top soyabean importer China promised continued purchases.
CBOT July soyabeans ended up 4-1/4 cents at $8.71-1/4 per bushel.
CBOT July soyameal ended down 10 cents at $287.80 per short ton, while July soyaoil rose 0.11 cent to 28.10 cents per pound.
Chinese officials have repeatedly affirmed their commitment to buy more US goods and services as agreed under a Phase 1 trade deal, Robert Lighthizer told lawmakers, adding that some $10 billion in purchases had been recorded thus far.
