Abdullah Hussain Haroon to become caretaker PM
KARACHI: Coalition partners of the ruling Pakistan People's Party have proposed Abdullah Hussain Haroon as the caretaker prime minister in the general elections scheduled in March this year, the media reported on Tuesday.
According to sources said, President Asif Ali Zardari has called a meeting of coalition parties to consult the forming the caretaker government and preparations for the elections.
Haroon is currently serving as Pakistan's Ambassador to the United Nations since September 2008.
It may be mentioned here that Haroon is the elder brother of Hameed Haroon, the owner of the renowned Pakistani media company, the Dawn group.
He has been working as a social activist and also served as speaker of Sindh Assembly.
