FESCO inks agreement with Shakar Ganj Sugar Mills
FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) inked an agreement with Shakar Ganj Sugar Mills Limited to purchase another 2 megawatt of electricity.
The Shakar Ganj Sugar Mills Limited will provide this electricity at Rs 8.94 per unit to Jahanian Shah Grid Station Jhang.
This two megawatt electricity will be other than the 7 megawatt of electricity already provided by Shakar Ganj Sugar Mills to FESCO since 2008.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) FESCO Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan, Chief Financial Officer Muhammad Iqbal Ghori and Chief Commercial Officer Khursheed Alam have signed the agreement on behalf of FESCO while from Shakar Ganj Sugar Mills Limited Executive Director Ali Altaf Saleem, Senior Executive Vice President Muhammad Pervez Akhtar and Executive Vice President Saifullah signed the document.
Speaking on the occasion, FESCO Chief Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan termed the agreement would help to minimise the energy crisis. He said that this project will be environment friendly and help minimize load shedding in Jhang Circle.
He said that electricity rates are also comparatively cheaper and hoped that other business community should come forward and invest in alternate energy resources so that gap between demand and supply of electricity could be bridged.
Chief Engineers FESCO and Officers of Shakar Ganj Sugar Mills Limited were also present during this ceremony.
