Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman appointed SC judge

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari, on the advice of the Prime Minister, has appointed Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman, Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, as judge of the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan.

Spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar said the Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment in the Superior Courts, after receiving the nomination of Justice Iqbal Hameed- ur-Rehman from the Judicial Commission of Pakistan, had unanimously agreed with the nomination and requested the Prime Minister to advise the President for the said appointment.
