LAHORE: PML-N President Muhammed Nawaz Nawaz Sharif on Friday re-opened Pak Tea House after 13 years.
The historic tea stall is known as meeting place for intellectuals, poets, writers, and men of letters.
A large number of noted writers and literary figures were present on the occasion.
Nawaz Sharif said, "He feels immense proud while re-opening Pak Tea House as writers and thinkers serve the nation selflessly." He promised to visit again and again to learn from the literate icons.
Eminent writer Ata-ul-Haq Qasmi said, before partition of India, Pak Tea House was called Indian Tea House.
He noted that after the closure of Pak Tea House the intellectuals lost a meeting point. But, now the Tea House has been re-opened for consultation on national issues.
