RAWALPINDI: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 5934 kilograms hashish near Killi Shamsuzai, Tehsil Gulistan, district Qilla Abdullah, Balochistan.
As per the details, ANF received an information that some international drug traffickers have brought huge quantity of narcotics from Afghanistan and will try to smuggle to abroad at some appropriate time, said a press release.
On confirmation of the information, ANF intercepted a Bedford Truck near Killi Shamsuzai, Tehsil Gulistan, District Qilla Abdullah.
During the search of truck 5580 kgs chars (Garda) was recovered from the secret cavities of the truck. One accused namely Muhammad Zahoor s/o Bahadur Khan r/o Killi Khundiabad, Quetta has been arrested on the spot.
In another operation, ANF Balochistan seized 354 kgs chars from the area of Gawadar.
The value of recovered narcotics in international market is in billions. Cases under CNS Act-1997 have been registered against the accused persons. Further investigation is in progress.
