TAIPEI: Taipower, the island's largest issuer of corporate bonds, sold T$7.5 billion ($259 million) of 10-year secured bonds at a 1.64 percent yield, it said on Monday.
The yield missed the 1.65 percent to 1.70 percent range expected by some bond dealers, and was lower than a similar auction last month when the state run utility sold 10 year bonds at a 1.69 percent yield.
The yields on the utility's bonds are the most important pricing indicator for Taiwan's corporate bond market.
