imageISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Thursday urged the people to pay taxes to bring improvement in the economy of the country.

"Without paying taxes, progress and prosperity could not be achieved "he stated this while talking to a private television channel.

He said that the government made the budget of 2013-14, keeping in view the available resources of the country.

He said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz government has given less burden to the lower income group.

He said that the rich class would pay high taxes, while the common man will have less burden in the budget announced by the finance minister at the National Assembly forum.

He said that hybrid technology vehicles would be introduced to get efficiency in the fuel sector.

He said that natural resources would be utilized to bring improvement in all fields of life.
