ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday summoned 18 prosecution witnesses in the judges detention case against former military ruler Pervez Musharraf.
It may be mentioned that ATC Judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi during a hearing on June 15 ordered the prosecutor to submit evidences. Following the orders, the court staff on Tuesday issued summons to 18 prosecution witnesses.
These witnesses, including 13 lawyers and five police officials, have been ordered to appear before the court on June 21 to record their statements. Among the police officials, a former investigator Hakim Ali Khan is included.
The witnesses will record their statements before ATC Judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi at Pervez Musharraf’s farmhouse in Chak Shahzad on June 21.
The case over the detention of the judges is based on an FIR filed against Musharraf in August 2009.
The case is one of three against Musharraf in courts within Pakistan.
