LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday directed making a special anti-measles drive which started on June 24 a success. He also appealed to parents to cooperate with vaccination teams.
In a directive to the provincial health department, he said no dereliction would be tolerated during the campaign as he hinted at holding audit by a third party in the vaccination campaign.
Kicked off today in 12 districts, the special anti-measles campaign will continue till July 4, 2013. During the campaign, measles vaccine will be administered to 12 million children of age of six months to ten years at their nearest health centres or by mobile teams. A dose of vitamin A drops will also be given to children.
