KESC should avoid `unscheduled loadshedding': Sharmila
KARACHI: The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) should avoid `unscheduled loadshedding'.
This was stressed by the Secretary Information of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh Women Wing, Ms. Sharmila Faruqui.
In a statement here on Wednesday she strongly condemned the `unscheduled loadshedding' in Karachi and demanded of the KESC to resolve the issue of load shedding in the city.
Ms. Sharmila pointed out that the unscheduled load shedding had created untold problems to the students who were preparing for the examinations and that the business community was also facing hardships.
She was also critical of the performance of the KESC and maintained that it was creating problems for the people.
Ms. Sharmila said that the present democratic government was striving hard to resolve energy crisis and working on Thar Coal Project and Wind.
She demanded of the management of KESC not to resort to load shedding during exams hours and provide electricity uninterrupted to the hospitals in order to save lives.
Ms. Sharmila also asked the KESC to reduce scheduled load shedding hours and avoid unscheduled load shedding.
She urged the KESC to control its line losses to provide relief to the people and pay attention towards restructuring of its system.
