BUENOS AIRES: Argentina's closing soy prices and trends on Friday:
* In the Rosario grains market, soy closed at 1,920 pesos ($335) per tonne, falling from 1,985 pesos on Thursday, influenced by losses in Chicago.
* Benchmark November soybean futures on the Chicago Board of Trade fell 1 percent Friday on technical selling and in reaction to forecasts for cooler, wetter weather that might benefit some US crops.
* Rosario soy for delivery in May 2014, which is quoted in US dollars, closed at $292 per tonne, compared with $290-$294 on Thursday.
* In the Argentine port of Quequen soy closed at 1,880 pesos per tonne, while in Bahia Blanca it closed at 1,950 pesos.
* Important agriculture regions in Argentina are still dry after several weeks without rain, which could lead producers to sow later than usual this season, the Ministry of Agriculture said on Friday. Argentine soy usually goes into the ground in November and December.
