KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers Sindh and police on Sunday arrested 28 suspects during targeted operation in different parts of the city.
Activists of some political parties, members of banned outfits and the Lyari gang war were among those arrested during raids.
According to the Rangers spokesman, paramilitary troops carried out raids in New Karachi, Mehmoodabad, Baloch Colony, Bhains Colony, Landhi, Gulshan-e-Maimar, Hasan Mujtaba Town, 100 Quarter Korangi, Johar Mor, Gulistan-e-Jauher, Surjani Town and Yousuf Goth.
Rangers spokesman said a large quantity of arms and ammunition had also been seized from the suspects.
The arrested criminals are involved in various crimes‚ including target killing and extortion. The arrested target killers are said to be associated with different political groups and gang wars, he said.
