ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Sunday forecast light rain with snowfall over the hills in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during next 24 hours.
Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
According to the synoptic situation, a shallow westerly trough was affecting northern parts of the country and likely to persist during the next 24 hours.
The lowest minimum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Parachinar -11 C, Kalat -10 C, Skardu-07 C, Quetta -06 C, Hunza, Astore, Malam Jabba -05 C, Gupis -04 C, Murree, Kalam, Drosh -03 C.
The minimum temperatures recorded in the other cities were Islamabad 05 C, Lahore 08 C, Karachi 12 C, Peshawar 06 C, Quetta -06 C, Muzaffarabad 03 C, Gilgit 00 C, Faisalabad 09 C, Multan 08 C and Hyderabad 10 C.
The rainfall recorded during the last 24 hours was Lahore 11 (Airport) mm, Murree 7.5 mm, Lahore (PBO) 7 mm, Kotli 4 mm, Muzaffarabad 3 mm, Malamjaba 2 mm, Dir 1 mm, Kalam 1 mm, Sialkot 1 mm and traces in Gujranwala, Rawalakot, Risalpur and Sialkot Cantt.
The snowfall recorded was Murree 03 inch and Kalam 0.5 inch.
