Pak envoy asks businessmen to focus technical textile sector

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Ambassador to Germany Shahid Kamal said on Saturday that Pakistani businessmen should focus on specialized textile sectors to seize business opportunities available in Europe and other parts of the world.

He said there existed great demand of technical textile and non-woven products in the world and the Pakistani businessmen should make efforts to tap the market.

He was talking to Pakistani businessmen, who participated this year in the world's leading Techtextil Trade Fair in Frankfurt, says a message received here from Frankfurt.

Earlier, the Ambassador visited the information booth of Consulate General of Pakistan and took a round of the exhibition.

He called on Detlef Braun, Director of the Board of Frankfurt Exhibition Centre, who briefed him about various facilities being provided to the exhibitors to promote world trade.

He assured that the Frankfurt Messe (Exhibition Centre) would continue to support efforts of government of Pakistan to promote its businesses in the global market.

The Ambassador thanked Braun for the support and cooperation extended to Pakistani exhibitors and for providing space to the Consulate General for setting up information booth free of cost.
