CORN SALE: Private exporters reported the sale of 211,500 tonnes of US corn to Japan, including 47,000 tonnes for 2013/14 delivery and 164,500 tonnes for 2014/15, the US Department of Agriculture said on Monday. Exporters also reported the sale of 140,000 tonnes of US corn to South Korea for 2013/14 delivery. The marketing year for US corn began on Sept. 1.
WHEAT TENDER: Algeria's state grains agency OAIC has issued a tender to purchase optional-origin milling wheat for shipment in May, European traders said on Monday. The bidding deadline is on Tuesday, March 4, they said. The tender terms indicated a nominal volume of 50,000 tonnes but Algeria usually purchases more.
RICE TENDER: Iraq has issued a tender to buy a minimum of 30,000 tonnes of rice, with long-grain supplies coming from the United States, Uruguay, Argentina, or Brazil, a trade ministry statement said on Monday. The closing date for the tender is March 16 and offers must be valid until March 20.

SUNOIL TENDER: Egyptian commodity purchasing enterprise Meditrade is seeking 30,000 tonnes of sunflower oil in a tender, a Cairo-based trader said. Closing date for the tender is Feb. 27.
WHEAT TENDER: Morocco's state grains agency ONICL has launched a tender to buy 260,000 tonnes of soft wheat from the local market. It is Morocco's second tender after suspending import duty for soft wheat which runs from Jan. 1 to April 30. Morocco has also introduced a subsidy system to boost soft wheat imports to counter rising world prices for the same period. ONICL will open the bids on March 4.
BARLEY TENDER: Jordan's state grains buyer has issued a new international tender to purchase 100,000 tonnes of animal feed barley, European traders said on Thursday. The grain can be sourced from any optional origin and is sought for shipment in a series of combinations between May 15 and July 16, traders said. The tender closes on Mar. 5.
WHEAT TENDER: Iraq issued an international tender to buy at least 50,000 tonnes of wheat to be sourced either from the United States, Canada or Australia only, the trade ministry said. The tender closes on March 2 and offers must remain valid up to March 6, a statement said.
SOYOIL TENDER: Bangladesh's state purchasing agency Trading Corporation of Bangladesh has issued an international tender to purchase 2,000 tonnes of refined soyoil, traders said. Tender deadline is Mar. 19.
BARLEY TENDER: Turkish state grain board TMO has issued a tender to buy 100,000 tonnes of feed barley, European traders said. The bidding deadline is March 4 and shipment is scheduled for March 12 and April 7, the traders said.
SUNOIL TENDER: Iraq's trade ministry has issued an international tender to purchase at least 10,000 tonnes of sunflower oil, European traders said. Tender deadline is Mar. 3 and offers must remain valid until Mar. 7.
RICE TENDER: South Korea is seeking 57,114 tonnes of non-glutinous rice for arrival between June and July via tenders, the state-run Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp said on its website (www.at.or.kr).
