ISLAMABAD: The Special Court, trying former President Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf under high treason provisions, on Thursday maintained its previous order regarding production of Musharraf before court on Friday.
Gen (Retd) Musharraf would be indicted when he appears before the special court bench.
The three-member bench, headed by Justice Faisal Arab, and comprising Justice Tahira Safdar and Justice Yawar Ali, resumed hearing of the case and directed the former President to appear before it on Friday for a formal indictment in the high treason case.
The bench has summoned head of intelligence agency today for in-camera briefing over threats of a possible terror attack on Pervez Musharraf.
During the course of proceedings, Anwar Mansoor counsel for Pervez Musharraf told the bench that he was not feeling well and doctors had advised him to take rest.
Justice Faisal Arab remarked that he can provide arguments over petitions on Friday, on which he replied that he will not be fit to argue even tomorrow.
Prosecutor Tariq Hassan reminded the court about indictment of Musharraf due on March 14.
The bench said they were well-aware of indictment but cannot pressurize any counsel to provide arguments.
Musharraf is facing treason charges, for imposition of a state of emergency in 2007 while he was president.
The court, maintaining its order over Musharraf's appearance, adjourned the hearing till Friday (March 14).
