ISLAMABAD: Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique Wednesday said Imran Khan was trying to influence the judiciary by staging sit ins.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House, the Minister condemned the hooliganism of workers of Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf in Lahore High Court.
He said if PTI has proofs of rigging then it should present them before the election tribunals and shun the politics of protest.
A committee should be formed, which should probe voting in the four constituencies pointed out by PTI and four constituencies by the PML-N.
"We approached the court about the constituencies where we had doubts of rigging and they should also go to the courts."
"We wanted to solve problems of the people and we should be allowed to work," he added.
Saad Rafique said Prime Minister also chaired a meeting on the issue of loadshedding, which will be decreased.
"It is job of the opposition to point out our weaknesses and put pressure on us so that we stay in the right direction. PTI should keep focus on good governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and control polio."
He said the government was not afraid of protest rallies on May 11 announced by PTI.
The protest rallies cannot make the government weak, he said adding it was an effort of PTI to divert attention of the government and people from the basic problems being confronted by the country.
He said chairman PTI Imran Khan was part of the Parliament while on the other hand he is levelling allegations against it.
He also criticized Allama Tahir ul Qadri of Pakistan Awami Tehrik saying he always follows agenda of others.
Responding to a question, he said white paper issued by the PTI has no basis and is based on misleading information.
