58th birthday of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto to be marked on June 21

KARACHI: The 58th birth anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto would be marked in a befitting manner on June 21. The main ceremony in this connection would be organized at Naudero. The `Quran Khawani' would be held on this very occasion. Blood donation camps would also be organized.

The birthday functions would also be organized at the district level. Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has paid rich tributes to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. In a statement here on Monday, he said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto devoted her entire live for the realization of the rights of the people, restoration of democracy in the country, betterment of the people and progress and development of Pakistan. Qaim Ali Shah said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto always remained committed to the welfare of the poor people.

He stated that the Bhutto family also rendered a great deal of sacrifices. Sindh Chief Minister said that President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani are carrying forward the mission of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Syed Qaim Ali Shah also appealed to the people to extend blood donation to pay tributes to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on the occasion. Sindh Minister, Ms. Shazia Marri, also paid rich tributes to Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

She said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was a towering personality of international stature and had served twice as the prime minister of the country. Ms. Shazia Marri said that was committed to serve the people of the country especially the poor, deprived and under-privileged. She said that the mission of mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was a strong and prosperous Pakistan and she pursued this very mission throughout her life.

Ms. Shazia Marri said that the present elected government is carrying forward the mission of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Provincial Minister Taqueer Fatima Bhutto said here on Monday that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was a great leader and a torch- bearer. She said that we all should undertake concerted efforts for carrying forward the mission of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
