ISLAMABAD: Utility Stores Corporation (USC) intends to bring down prices of various items by five to ten percent before the start of the month of Ramazan.
This has been stated by Managing Director of the Corporation Khaqan Murtaza in an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan.
He explained that the reduction in prices would be over and above the relief that is to be passed on to the consumers under special Ramazan Package announced by the government.
Managing Director said special measures have been taken to ensure quality of edible oil and ghee as per ISO Certification in collaboration with brand suppliers.
Khaqan Murtaza said a decision was taken back in 2007 to open utility stores at every union council level; however, about eighty percent union councils are covered by the network.
