SIALKOT: The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has urged the federal government to announce a special incentive package for the business community, similar to the one provided by the Chinese and Indian governments to their businessmen to pick up the pace of industrial and trade development in Pakistan.
Vice President Mirza Qaisar Baig stated this while talking to the media here on Wednesday.
He said that the government should announce a special subsidized tariff of electricity, gas and telephone and should make these utilities cheap for the business community.
The SCCI vice president also urged the government to make long-term trade and export policies by taking all the trade bodies into confidence while making the policies.
He said that the government should ensure continuity of these long-term trade and export policies, which are needed to boost the national economy.
