COPENHAGEN: Denmark's central bank on Thursday raised its benchmark interest rate by 0.25 percentage points following an identical move by the European Central Bank, which usually sets the tone for the Scandinavian country's rate decisions.
The central bank said its decision to raise its key rate to 1.55 percent was "a consequence of the increase by the European Central Bank of its rate on the main refinancing operations by 0.25 percentage point to 1.50 percent."
