KCCA Inter-Zonal U-17 Cricket from Sunday
KARACHI: The Woodward Trophy KCCA Inter Zonal U-17 Cricket Tournament will begin at the KCCA Stadium here on Sunday with 16 teams participating for the title.
This is the third event of KCCA Annual Talent Hunt Scheme.
Apart from three teams of Zone-III and Zone-IV, all the other zones will be allowed to field two teams, KCCA Secretary Professor Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi announced on Saturday.
Zone-III Whites will take on Zone-IV Blues in the opening match at 9:30 am.
Players born on and after September 1, 1994, are eligible to feature in the competition.
The matches will be of 50 overs. However, there will be no restriction on the number of overs to be bowled.
Chairman Medicam Group and Vice President Khalil Ahmed Nainitalwala will inaugurate the event. KCCA Chief Syed Sirjul Islam Bokhari will preside over the ceremony.
All the zones have been asked to advise their cricketers to report to Chairman Tournament Committee Mehtab Ahmed or Tournament Secretary Tauseef Siddiqui for the inaugural ceremony and facial scrutiny on Sunday at 11:00 am in proper cricket attire.
All cricketers have been asked to bring their birth certificates, educational documents, Form "B" attested photocopy of CNIC of head of the family and two passport sized photographs pasted on the prescribed form.
