‘The Dark Knight’ actor Christian Bale admitted that he was jealous when he heard about Ben Affleck taking on the role for ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’.
According to media reports the ‘American Hustle’ actor said in an interview, “I've got to admit initially, even though I felt that it was the right time to stop, there was always a bit of me going, 'Oh go on ... Let's do another.' So when I heard there was someone else doing it, there was a moment where I just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour. The fact that I'm jealous of someone else playing Batman, I think I should have gotten over it by now”.
Christian Bale further said still he didn’t talk to Ben Affleck but he advised him via email on tackling such a demanding role.
Bale said, “I haven't spoken with Ben, but I emailed him offering bits of advice that I learned the hard way. I would imagine he is doing everything he can to avoid anything that I did”, media reported.
Christian Bale first portrayed the role of Batman in 2005 then he reprised his role in ‘The Dark Knight’ in 2008 and his last appearance was seen in the final installment ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ in 2012. Bale's ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy, directed by Christopher Nolan, made nearly $2.5 billion worldwide.
