ISLAMABAD: Mutahida Qumi Movement's leader, Altaf Hussain welcomed the steps taken by the Pakistan Peoples Party for the maintenance of peace in Karachi.
He appealed to the MQM workers and the people as well to make all out efforts for the success of the peace rally, a private news channel reported on Saturday.
Altaf vowed the PPP and the MQM's decision to hold a peace rally.
He added that Karachi is hub of Pakistan economy and peace in Karachi is necessary for the country.
He maintained that MQM is a peace loving party and will cooperate with all the parties working for the peace in the country.
