JAKARTA: Indonesia's economy expanded 5.01 percent in the fourth quarter from a year earlier, bringing full-year growth to 5.02 percent, it’s weakest since 2009, the statistics bureau said on Thursday.
The country's gross domestic product shrank 2.06 percent in the fourth quarter compared with the previous quarter.
The median forecasts from a Reuter’s poll of analysts were for year-on-year growth of 4.95 percent in the fourth quarter, and a contraction of 1.48 percent versus the third quarter.
