president-chair-meetingISLAMABAD: Former Federal Law Minister PPP, Prof. N D Khan termed recent meeting under the chair of President Asif Ali Zardari as significant saying this high level meeting dispelled the impression of confrontation between judiciary and executive.

Talking to Radio Pakistan on Saturday, he said that the rule of law prevails in the country when all organs of the state function in their constitutional domain.

He said that government will implement judicial decisions which will be delivered in accordance with the spirit of constitution and law.

Constitution of 1973 defines the jurisdictions of every organ of the state, whether it is judiciary or parliament therefore judiciary should address those issues, which come under its jurisdiction, he added.

Replying to a question, he said parliament is supreme organ of the country, which is creator of constitution adding that parliament can decide the issues among institutions if any confrontation arises among them.
